LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - For the the second time in less than a week, police say a vandal targeted a Lexington church and nearby cars.
James Thompson says early Saturday morning he realized two tires on his truck and his wife's car had been slashed.
"I'm almost 60 and now I have to come out here and jack my car up because someone vandalized it," said Thompson.
Police say someone also targeted Saint John Missionary Baptist Church across the street on Thurman Drive, smashing a glass door.
"It's heartbreaking because we've been here 14 years and never had anything like this happen until the last two weeks," Deacon Richard Higgins told WKYT's Mark Barber.
Higgins says last Saturday, a vandal hit their church van before damaging five other nearby vehicles.
