Windows of Church of Christ in Newark likely broken by vandals
NEWARK – A local congregation is looking for solutions after several windows, possibly dating back to the 1850s, were damaged by vandals earlier this week.
James Morgan, who serves as the minister for the Martinsburg Church of Christ in Newark, said he received a call Monday afternoon from a neighbor in the area that several stained glass windows were damaged.
When Morgan arrived to the church around 9 p.m., he found three windows broken. The windows are about 10-feet tall and have a unique shape which is common for country churches similar to the Martinsburg church, which was built in the 1850s.

Edmond, Oklahoma, Police Release Photos of Suspect Who Vandalized Crucifix
EDMOND, Oklahoma - Police here are trying to figure out who is behind a spate of criminal acts against a local religious icon.
The crucifix at St. John the Baptist Church, at 9th & Boulevard, was stolen last month. It was returned a week later, but has since been targeted, twice, by vandals; most recently, last week.
Security cameras are now giving investigators a look at the possible suspect. The images are not very clear, but do show a person who, police believe, took a marker to the crucifix twice in a week's time.
