A Brooklyn man has been charged with hate crimes after allegedly running rampant through Church of the Immaculate Conception and causing over $100,000 in damage, the police say.
According to the police, 20-year-old Michael Torres entered the locked church, at 414 East 14th Street, last night and damaged multiple statues, crosses, and altar pieces.

Mormon church vandalized in Southern California
LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. (AP) — Vandals have struck a Mormon church in inland Southern California.
Someone shattered exterior glass doors and pried open interior doors at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Lake Elsinore.

Vandals target cars, church in Harrisburg
HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A church door was smashed and at least four cars were spray painted during a vandalism spree in Harrisburg overnight.
The vandal or vandals threw a brick through the glass door of the Grace United Methodist Church at 216 State Street, and four cars were tagged with white paint on Green Street between Briggs and Forster.
Spray paint was also found on homes along Briggs Street in a nearby alley.

Someone apparently went on a graffiti spree Thursday night in Jackson.
Vandals hit Old Canton Road near Northside Drive, tagging the Bellwether Church along with a home and concrete wall outside a nearby neighborhood.
"You are the God" was written on the church and across the street, "Fear: The new currency" and "But I'm livin" were written on the wall. "Do you feel safe?" was spray painted on Regina Boyles' house.
